With #reps4kids my reps are helping the 42 MILLION children under the age of 5 who are considered obese and at risk for long term illnesses.
Child Obesity is a preventable illness, and we need to spread awareness on social media.
Step 1- Choose ANYONE who means a lot to you and get ready to do 1-20 reps of ANY exercise for them (kids or no kids)
Step 2- Get your camera ready to film (or take a picture) of what you do for them. Share and tag on social media #reps4kids
Step 3-Bring awareness to child obesity by doing this for 1-20+ days. If you can- DONATE to help a child in need (www.reps4kids.com)
How can you help?
Just post one funny or interesting photo/video of you doing 5,10 or 20 reps for someone you care about and tag them in it. Ask them to do the same
It can be ANY exercise (by yourself or with kids), just be sure to add the #Reps4Kids hashtag — be creative, be yourself, and you get to change the world 1 rep at a time!
How will my reps change the world?
The Reps4Kids Foundation collects $1 donations which go directly to preventing childhood obesity and illness. So every time someone posts their reps with @reps4kids, it helps spread awareness of the cause while we all get in shape and foster and monkey see monkey do attitude! Everyone wins! This is all about leading by example! Spread awareness and love by taking 1 minute out of your day for exercise, and show the kids how easy and fun it is to get moving. Do squats with your kids, lift your wife for your friends kids, lunge to the grocery store for a neighbors kids; have fun with it.

Video yourself, post it, tag it, and keep spreading the word by doing reps for kids that you know. Set an example and show the world how beneficial exercise can be. Show how doing a little for someone can go a long way. Do it for yourself while doing it for the kids.

WHY BOTHER?

Want the Grim Stuff? Childhood obesity is one of the most serious public health challenges of the 21st century and it continues to increase at an alarming rate. In 2015 over 42 million kids under the age of five were overweight worldwide. If current trends continue, by 2040 that number will change to a supersized 70 million.

Obesity in children is associated with a wide range of serious health complications including a higher risk of bone and joint problems, sleep apnea, psychological factors (such as poor self-esteem and stigmatization) and premature onset of diabetes and heart disease. Most adolescents do not outgrow obesity unless intervention is involved. Also, did you know that 59% of Canadian adults are overweight? Reps4Kids might just help 2 epidemics at once!
